Blessings

After 2 weeks of posting film images here I’m back to the digital stuff now. I have plenty of good material still to post from the recent tour and since I’ve been back I have been shooting some more film. I’ll be posting some of those film shots here soon.

Big Chief

Fuji Velvia slide film again – this time I deliberately underexposed by a stop to super-saturate the sky.

Ascension

More of the Fuji Velvia 35mm film

Rocky Mountain Road

More Fuji Velvia 35mm film.

Red or Green?

The official state question of New Mexico rendered with a slight twist on 35mm Fuji Velvia film.

More Film

I posted images captured on film during my recent workshop in New Mexico all last week. I still have many more nice images on film that I made with the 3 film cameras I was using. (I used 6 cameras altogether on the trip, 3 film and 3 digital) For the time being I am continuing to post more of those images on film. This was made on medium format TMX 400 black and white film.

Lost in Time

My week of posting only images taken on film continues with another 35mm Fuji Velvia slide that I shot a few weeks ago while guiding my photo tour.

The Glass is Way More Than Half Full

Today’s image was taken with medium format Kodak TMAX  black and white film.

Keep on Truckin’

Another image shot on film. This one was taken on Fuji Provia medium format stock.

Harvest Time

I took 3 cameras loaded with various film stock with me when I guided this most recent photo tour in New Mexico. I finally had a chance to get it all developed and scanned so I think I will dedicate this week to shots on film. This image was made on Fuji Velvia (35mm). When I laid out the Velvia slides on the light table it looked like a color bomb had exploded. I honestly had almost forgotten how much saturation and contrast Velvia has. The color hits you like a punch in the face – just right for autumn and fiesta time in the Land of Enchantment.
