Nature vs Photoshop
I got out of the truck to shoot in the woods and it started raining. My lens got wet and fogged over. I didn’t even consider wiping it off. Mother Nature came up with her own special effects and I decided to roll with it.
Wet Brick Streets
I was doing some product photography in my studio yesterday and when I walked outside to leave I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was raining. I wound up being quite delayed in getting to my truck because I can never resist shooting in the streets outside my studio when it’s raining. I was soaked through to the skin by the time I was finally ready to drive home but I was happy to have had the chance to do some creative work just for myself for a change.
And I Won’t Forget to Put the Roses on Your Grave
There is a connection between today’s post and yesterday’s but you probably need to be a fan of the Rolling Stones to get it.
Fire in the Sky
This valley inside an ancient volcanic caldera produces some spectacular sunsets but I must say this is one of the better sky shows that I have been treated to there. Click on it to view a larger version.
Carnival Colors
It’s been raining a lot here lately. One nice thing about the rain is the way it makes everything reflective and colorful at night.
Mean Streets
It was raining last night when I walked out of my studio to go home so instead of walking straight to my truck I made a detour through the neighborhood with my camera and grabbed a few shots for myself.
Storms
It has been so long it has rained around here. Yesterday the skies finally clouded up and storms rolled through all day and night. As you probably know by now I love to shoot in the rain so I took some time for myself between appointments to do just that. I got totally drenched and enjoyed every minute of it.
Walk Toward the Light
I like to shoot in the streets of Ybor City around my studio. When it rains I especially like to get out and shoot. I have a thing about watching for people walking when I’m doing it and I make it a personal challenge to artistically include them in my compositions.
Walking in the Rain
I stood here in the rain for a long time waiting for someone to walk through this composition and be in an interesting position when the traffic lights turned yellow. Do I need to say why I wanted the lights to be yellow?
Rainy Day Car Ride
Even when riding in the back seat of a car I prefer to look at the scenery through a viewfinder.
